OWNERS’ PROTECTIVE AGENCY (OPA)

Vessel owners and operators sometimes may need to assign an agent to administrate the charterers’ agency performance and monitor port call operation.

Gespros provides services as soon as possible to scale the owners and operators by presenting a simple independent report, with full participation in facilitating port call, including the following:

  • Checking Performa D/A submitted by the head agent for compliance with applicable tariffs
  • Receipt of owners’ funds and payment to head agents
  • Reporting the vessel/cargo status, as required.
  • Checking cargo documents/SOF/ time sheets for correctness, notifying owner if not, and issuing letters of protest.
  • Signing Bills of Lading.

We make every visit a success despite the often short periods spent in port.
